Since our founding in 1990, UW Formula Motorsports has been driven by one goal: building the best car possible while developing the next generation of engineers and leaders.
Through hands-on engineering, project management, and team leadership, our members gain experience that extends beyond the classroom. We provide students with the opportunity to design, manufacture, and compete while developing the technical and professional skills needed to succeed in industry.

About Our Racecar
Our team is building a car to go all the way.
Every season, our team designs and manufactures a completely new Formula-style racecar from the ground-up. Our car is driven by our very own members, each driver is assigned to the task that best matches their skill set.
Suspension system is powered by 4WD to allow for maximum steering precision.
Each wheel is driven by our AMK inverters, reaching up to 35kw corners.
Carbon monocoque is sturdy to withstand our top speeds.
Autonomous driving capabilities, with real-time track detection. Our lidar camera identifies track cones and provides steering feedback for advanced operation.
